Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of Ski Length Calculator. By using the site you accept them. The short version: the calculators give sizing guidance based on published sources, not a substitute for a competent fitter, a coach, or the rulebook of the federation you race under.

The guidance is general, not personal advice

The calculators implement published sizing charts and formulas, stated on each page with their sources. They do not know your injury history, your technique, your local snow, or the specific ski model you are holding. A result is a well-sourced starting point for a conversation with a shop or coach — not a promise that a particular ski will be safe or suitable for you. Skiing carries inherent risk; equipment choice is one part of managing it, and the responsibility for that choice stays with the skier.

Racing information

The race page reproduces FIS minimum lengths and radii from the sources cited there, checked at the date shown on the page. Federation rules change — sometimes mid-cycle — and equipment control at your event applies the rules in force on the day, not this page. Before relying on a figure for competition, verify it against the current FIS Specifications for Competition Equipment. No liability is accepted for a disqualification or equipment rejection based on information here.

Acceptable use

Use the calculators freely, for yourself or your customers. Do not scrape the site in a way that burdens it, misrepresent its results as your own advice product without attribution, or use it to facilitate anything unlawful. Quoting figures with a link back is welcome.

Accuracy and liability

The site is maintained with care — every constant is sourced and every change passes an automated check suite — but no warranty of completeness or fitness for a particular purpose is given. To the extent permitted by law, liability for loss arising from reliance on the calculators is excluded, except where the law does not allow exclusion. If you find an error, the report form exists precisely for that, and corrections are credited to the process, if not by name.

Changes

These terms may be updated; the version on this page is the current one, and continued use after a change is acceptance of it. Material changes will be described in plain language on this page.
